The sets will weigh between 1 and 3 pounds. The Elite 240 coin set weighs 2.4 lbs (1.1 kg).
The coins come in a hard shell case with a tough fabric cover pictured below. It has 2 zippers rather than clasps to prevent the lid from accidentally popping open. There is room for 420 coins or storage for dice, miniatures, rules etc. The inside top of the case has a mesh covering for more storage. The inserts are cut so you can take out from 1 to 5 in a column to adjust the space available. Here are pictures of case:
