Jambo using Travel Coin Set

Played Jambo using the Travel Coin Set. Jambo has ok money and markers but coins enhance the game as it there are more coin values, especially adding the 2 and 10 values. Plus it is easier to see who is winning and where you are in the game. The case kept the money neatly. We also used coins to mark turn as they were less likely to get mixed up as you can see below.

Spyrium: Game ON! coins vs classic bad cardboard money

Spyrium is quite a good game that I got in a math trade.  We gave it a try last night to positive reviews and interest in having another go. However, it is also a game with classic bad cardboard money. Only two denominations (1s and 10s) in tiny round cardboard circles with only color to tell them apart. The Game ON! coins were MUCH more convenient to use.  Interestingly, the 2 denomination coins are very handy to have in the set. We use them almost as much as the ones in making change. They eliminate big piles of ones but are a rare denomination in game money.  They turned out to be a great addition to the set!

Game ON! coins as game economy markers

A friend (DaC) sent me this picture of using the Game ON! coins as markers in an oldie but goodie, the Babylon 5 Component game system. He reported using the coins to keep track of the Gross Economy, Upkeep and Net Income much more easily and conveniently than using the game markers included.

This shows the how versatile this set can be with the same coin set for multiple game uses.
